The City of Florida City hereby gives public notice that the next City Commission Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 6:30 P.M. at the City Commission Chambers, Florida City, FL 33034. All members of the public are encouraged to attend and participate.

The meeting will be presided over by Mayor Charlotte Thompson, joined by Vice Mayor Ronda Ferguson Cobb, Commissioner James Gold, Commissioner Richard Brown, Jr., and Commissioner Trina Wilborn. The City is also served by City Manager Dr. James Poag, City Attorney Regine Monestime, Esq., City Clerk Jennifer A. Evelyn, and Deputy City Clerk Makeda McLune.

Agenda & Information: Any member of the public wishing to obtain a copy of any agenda item may contact City Clerk Jennifer A. Evelyn at (305) 247-8221 or by email at cityclerk@floridacityfl.gov. The full agenda packet is also available on the City's website at www.floridacityfl.gov.

Americans with Disabilities Act: In accordance with the ADA of 1990, any person who requires special accommodations to participate in this meeting should contact City Clerk Jennifer A. Evelyn at (305) 247-8221 no later than 48 hours prior to the meeting.

Right to Appeal: Any person wishing to appeal a decision made by the City Commission regarding matters considered at this meeting will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim recording is made, including all testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is based.

Lobbyist Registration: All lobbyists are required to register with the City Clerk and pay a one-time annual fee of $250.00 before engaging in any lobbying activities. Registration must be completed within five business days of being retained. For more information, refer to Section 2-233 of the City's Code.

The next regular City Commission Meeting is scheduled for May 12, 2026, at 6:30 P.M.
